How can I become a Race car driver? Indy or Nascar?
I've loved to watch racing on T.V. since I was young. How do you go about becoming a Formula 1 driver and/or NASCAR? If you have info please let me know.

Why people love to watch F1 race?
If you have several thousand dollars to spare or know a generous sponsor, you can enroll at a driving school such as Jim Russell or the Derek Daly School (I believe Derek sold it to someone else last year). Some racing schools run their own mini racing series and, if you have any talent at all (and a fair chunk of cash) you can then advance to a Formula Ford or Formula 2000 series ... If you are really serious about becoming (an open-wheel) racing driver, then you'll probably have to move to Europe (preferably England) and get involved in the really cut-throat competition young drivers go through.Bear in mind that there are only 22 Formula One drivers and a handful of test drivers.

look for any small races around the area you live in. see if you can get sponsered in those races by trying out.yah sure
well you need alot of luck if you ever wanna go big time racing. but going to a racing school can help look up www.racingschools.com. im 17 and been saving up money as i plan to go to some racing schools to try and start a racing career. racing schools cost $$$.

i don't know. just be sure not 2 ask any of the hendrick drivers in nascar, (j.gordon, j. johnson, ky.busch, or b. vickers). if u do, you'll end up hitting the wall all the time or getting fined. that is what those 4 r best at!U should ask dale earnhardt jr.! he's a great race car driver, & he's REALLY HOT!!!! GO #8!!!!!!!!

Ask at a local track for inforamtion. Check into the Richard Petty Driving School for more info also. You must comply with rules, regulations, have exp. and hopefully a sponser. Good luck and I look forward to seeing a new face on the track when you're ready!
