I heard it was 10% of the checks from the races is this true and do the drivers in all the series (truck,Busch, and Cup) earn the same amount- percentage?

it depends on the contract they have with their car owner, and team. like take jeff gordon for case. he gets part of his winnings. part go into the team and to rick hendrick, but he also gets part of jimmies winnings as he is part car owner. your car owner fronts the money for everything, and then gets part of your earnings for your career.as for an exact amount it would be very hard to say. but let's face it.. yeah, none of them are hurting. they will probably make more money than they can actually spend. they all live fairly simple lifes as far as famous people go. yeah, they don't make near as much as NFL or NBA players, but they also lead much simplier lifes, and also, put a lot of money back into their car, and and a lot to charity. as for earnings won from each race (not take home pay..but winnings) you can go to nascar.com and see each individuals driver page and it will list for each race.

Gordon had a huge total of $$55,000,000,00It all depends on the team they drive for and what place they come in. Every driver has their own contract that sets a certain amount per race and then they receive a percentage from each race. Not to mention what they get from sponsors..And actually, Jeff Gordon has won to date, $58,566,120.00 since his very first race in 1992. I would bet anything fitty4ex will never come close to seeing that kind of income. I'm not sure as to why some people are so ignorant about Nascar.
