Dale Earnhardt jr. what is your opinion?
Well my opionion is that he is only in nascar because of his dad. his dad actually had to put his heart and soul into racing in order to become one of the greatest. All jr. had to do was go dad can i have a car. I think jr. would of never made in nascar if his dad hadn't been around. Plus when ever he does something wrong its no big deal but when it is another driver they make a big deal out of it.

Dale Sr wanted dale Jr to sell cars at there dealership and actually is why he went to collage. dale jr wanted to race cars but at the time sr wasn't for it. dale jr had to start out solo and more or less to prove himself before sr took him on. Earnhardt is a strong name in racing. the family started Earnhardt's inc in a three car garage to the company it is today. If you ever see how jr handles racing he is most likely not to point and whine but pretty much say that's racing. dale jr was very lucky to have dale sr as a good example. sr was a good driver and known for being able to handle situations track,racing and drivers in peaceful manner. I feel his upbringing defiantly effects the driver he is today. Jr has won many races and proved himself on the track.He had to do this no one could do it for him.

i agree with you 100%. If they didn't have restrictor plate races, dale junior would have like 5 career wins. Those are the only races that save him. I was so happy when vickers wrecked him at dega. The crowd was cheering with one to go and got quiet real quick lol. It doesn't get no better. I like the drivers that race their heart and soul out their whole life to get into cup. You are right. I don't think there is anyone out there that hates the dale jr fans as much as I do. He can't drive. He has been racing for 7 years and hasn't accomlished anything. I do not think that we should attack a man just because he is not as good as his father. I do not care for Jr. However, I think his father was a better driver, and to think Jr would out do is father is wishful thinking. I believe his father simply had a greater desire to win to go with his natural talent to drive. Ok dude, let me tell you a little something something about your so called "knowledge" of Dale Jr's start in racing.Have you ever watched the true story movie that came out a couple years back about the life and start of racing for Dale Sr?
If not then you need to watch it and you will see that you don't know anything about how Jr got started in his racing career.

I would suggest renting or buying it and watching it! Also just because you don't care for a particular driver doesnt' mean that you should bash them like that. He went through his share of heck to be able to race and get to where he is now.
No not everyone can have the money he does at their disposal to buy everything they need. And if you are indeed jealous of his accomplishments, then you need to go out and get you some sponsers and make a name for yourself and then beat him on the track not on a yahoo q & a.
But then again everyone is entitled to their opinions, and not everyone will agree with you nor will they agree with mine. But just do a little research before you go and make false accusations about someone and how they got started in their racing career.

Hmmm...sounds like we have yet another Dale Jr disliker!! You really need to do your research on him before you come spouting off about something that you have no absolute idea about. I suggest you go and buy his book "Driver #8" to learn more about him because it is painfully obvious that you don't know a single thing about him other than who his father was.Yeah, Jr drives for the racing team that his father started and that is because he is loyal to his father. He saw how his father worked extremely hard and he wants to contribute and help his father's legacy continue. I don't see you or anyone else saying anything about Kyle Petty racing for Richard Petty Racing!!
Dale Jr wasn't handed squat. Dale Sr made him prove that he wanted to be a driver in Nascar. Before Jr began racing he went to community college and got a degree in automechanics, he used to change oil at his father's car dealership. Dale Sr didn't hand any of his children anything...and that sure as hell includes Jr. Dale Sr actually didn't even want for Jr to become a racer but when he saw how talented Jr was he decided to put him on a "probation period" to prove that he was serious about racing.
You can ask any of the older drivers in Nascar and they will tell you that Dale Sr was super hard on Jr when he started out in Nascar. Dale Sr knew how hard it was going to be for Jr and he wanted to make sure that Jr could handle all the pressure. And...how many drivers can say that they went back to the race track where they lost their father and win?? Dale Jr has won twice at the race track where he lost his idol, his father, Dale Sr!!
And for those of you who love to say that Jr has only won on restrictor plate tracks, you are sadly mistaken...AS USUAL! Jr has won at Texas, Richmond, Bristol, Charlotte, Atlanta, Phoenix, Chicago,etc...and as far as I knew those tracks were not restrictor plate races. Also...Junior is super talented. I doubt that his sponsors would stick with him if he wasn't talented. He has 17 wins (would have had his 18th if it hadn't been for Vickers' mistake at Dega), 107 top 10's and 6 poles.
And Jr has gotten penalized by Nascar before. In 2004 when he won at Dega' he cursed in victory lane and Nascar docked him points and fined him money. Plus, he was the only driver at Dega two weeks ago who got in trouble by Nascar for "rough" bump drafting.
Some of you need to get a freaking clue and realize that Dale Jr wasn't handed a damn thing to him. He has worked to get everything he has and then some. But I understand that everyone isn't gonna like him and that's fine but don't sit there and bash the man's integrity!!

I agree with you. I am not a huge fan of his and I think that he is only there because of his daddy.
However, there are many other drivers currently on the circut who have no wins, or very few career wins. Look at Vickers, up until Dega he had no wins in his entire cup career- he only won that race because he got into Jimmie. Casey Mears, Micahel Waltrip, Robby Gordon, Elliot Sadler, Jamie McMurray etc... I don't dislike all of those drivers, but they really don't have a lot of wins under their belts either. Of course many of those drivers are constantly changing teams.
But I agree, I really don't think Jr is that great. His looks did not get him in, that is for sure. And he is an agressive driver. When he does well, it is because he is a bully like his daddy was.

Most Nascar racers have connections to get where they are in life. What about Kerry Earnhardt? We dont hear much about him. Sometimes it takes luck and being at the right place at the right time to get a good ride, no matter how good you are. There are thousands of people who would be just as good as the Nascar stars, but only so many opportunities available.Why is it that Ray Evernham's drivers suck?

Jealousy is a powerful thing, and I know how hard it is to get over it. But try to anyway. You're not the only guy out there racing dirt and dreaming about NASCAR. Maybe it SEEMS that way sometimes, but it ain't. How about all the drivers who would love to hit the dirt track circuit and don't have the opportunity? Believe it or not, you're doing something yourself that a lot of people only dream about. Think about it.And Dale Jr. wouldn't be in NASCAR if he hadn't earned it on his own merit. Dale Sr. didn't hand it all to him on a silver platter. He made him prove himself first, just like Ralph Earnhardt did Dale. If your name could "buy" you success in NASCAR, Kyle Petty would have half a dozen Championships by now. Even if Dale had put Jr. in the best equipment as soon as he hit the track and bought his way into the sport, if he couldn't race, it wouldn't have made him a racer. And that's what he is. JUNIOR RULEZ!
And I agree that a lot of drivers on the dirt tracks and short track circuits would have a chance to try their hand at NASCAR if the owners and sponsers weren't bringing in drivers from other motorsports divisions. I know, though, that's where Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart came from and have brought a lot to NASCAR. But it would be nice to see more new drivers come up through the stock car ranks instead of other divisions.

I agree, I saw on Dateline or NBC, something like that before Dale died a show about Jr that he did not want to do any of the dirty work. All he wanted to do was to drive and not do any dirty work.
