How do you remove the headlight switch from a 69 cougar?

Reach under the dash to feel the switch. Usually on the top sometimes on the side of the switch body is a button. Push and hold this buttuom while you withdraw the shaft and knob. You may have to wiggle things a bit, but the shaft will come completely out of the switch. The eschuteon the unscrews and the switch is removed from under the dash. Don't forget to disconnect battery. Installation is reverse, just push knob and shaft in til it is locked.More Questions & Answers...
