Where do I get Auto Racing Sponsorships?

I have a 2003 Mitsubish Lancer Evolution 8, and I would like to race it semi pro on the track. I am totaly against stret racing, the track is the only place for that. I don't have alot of money so I need to find a sponsor to help me get started. I have no track experience so training would be first. I have lived on windy country roads all of my life so I'm not new to preformance driving and handeling characteristics of automobiles. It has always been a dream of mine to race, but I have never been able to make it a reality. Can you help? or do you know of someone (company) that could?

What is the difference between Busch Grand National and Nextel Cup cars?

Your ambition is great! Unfortunately, you're between a rock & a hard spot. Serious racing sponsors consider not just experienced racers, but only those with winning records. Nobody wants to be in last place & few want to be connected with a nameless rookie. I know that sounds cruel, but those are the facts. Before I retired, approving & issuing sponsorships for racecars & show cars was part of my job. I turned down hundreds of racers & only bought into a few each year. If you can grasp the reality that no one is going to pay you to learn (if they would, we'd all be drivers), I can tell you how to proceed.
You need to eat, sleep & breathe racing. You should be at the track every chance you get. You need to talk to & become friendly with drivers, owners & technicians. You should offer to help with the dirty work, even for free. Once you're in this circle it is much easier to gain a sponsorship. Most often drivers/owners get sponsors through networking. That is, knowing someone who knows someone who knows someone who recommends you to a sponsor. Get car people on your side. It isn't easy. But if it was...well, you know.

What is the best site for used cars?

Well, first you need to get a track that will let you practice for either free, or for cheap. The best thing to do would be to find someone who's already in the circuit and see if they will apprentice you in some training and practice. Then your best bet for sponsorship is local businesses. Even if you can only get $100 from this company or that company, that would be a start. I've been going to a local dirt track near my home for over 20 years, and you always have to start local. And if you can find a local track that will give you a break, sometimes that is all you need. Sam Hornish Jr. in the INDY league, is from my area and look where he's at today.
