What do you think about the fact that Audi threw into Le Mans the TDI R10?

The R10 is the first car to compete in Le Mans powered by a diesel engine. Quite weird, but it develops just about the same power as the other cars, it has loads more torque and it burns less fuel per lap, emitting less fumes.

It's no more unusual than when someone tried to run a turbine powered car at LeMans back in the 70's. I'll be watching this weekend to see what happens with the Audi.
