Of the current bunch (not including Third or Test Drivers), I would say Sakon Yamamoto.Sato is capable of being a good Driver, and the reason his team won't drop him is because the team was only put together after Honda dropping him caused outrage in Japan. So Honda made the Super Aguri Team, just to give Sato a drive and to cool the backlash against their products in Japan.

Many people are pointing their finger at Sato at the moment due to his antics in Shanghai. The Aguris have been accused of being too aggressive at the start of the race (complaints come mainly from Midland) in trying to make up positions at the first corner. Sato in BAR last year also didn't please many people, tangling with Trulli (who made the comment that Sato shouldn't be out there driving an F1 car) and Michael at Spa, getting a little slap in the helmet by the Red Master.He was quite a popular driver in 2004 when the BAR Hondas were the "Best of the Rest", and he did quite well that year, even scoring a podium finish at Indy. Unfortunately, his fortunes have declined since then, and he has been stuck with uncompetitive cars. At Shanghai, he did not get off the dry racing line when Heidfeld and Button and Rubens and Pedro were about to lap him, causing a collision amongst them. Did he do it deliberately? Or did he have no choice but stay on the dry line? In a crappy car like the Aguris, if he had got off the dry racing line, he may have had a big spin and caused an even bigger accident around him.
I don't think Sato is a bad driver. He just drives a bad car which is difficult to control. Sure, he is not a great driver, but put him in a Ferrari or Renault or McLaren and I'm sure he will do a semi decent job for the teams.
