Why disc brakes for bikes are not provided for rear wheels in common?
often disc brakes in bikes are there for both front and rear wheels only in race bikes.

nearly all motorcycles have front and rear disc brakes but normally the rear brake is a smaller single disc as opposed to a larger twin disc set up at the front. In most big bikes (not just racers), both wheels have disks.It is only the small sub 250 cc's, that don't have a rear disk.

All bikes have rear disc brakes but some small bikes have a rear drum brake or an inclosed disc brake. But the rear brake is hidden behind the chain sprocket and is alot smaller than the front disc. But when you let off the gas, you slow the engine down, causing the sprocket to slow down, causing the rear tireto slow down and eventually slowing the bike down.
