Tony Stewart not in the chase !?
G'day Johnny,Thanks for your question.
On November 16, 2004, CASCAR announced it had entered a multi-year operational and marketing agreement with NASCAR , after NASCAR had formed NASCAR Canada earlier in the year.
This also opened the way for NASCAR's purchase of CASCAR . The purchase will allow Craftsman Truck Series and Busch Series races to take place at Canadian venues beginning in 2007.
On September 12, 2006, NASCAR completed its purchase of CASCAR and announced the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, a series of 10-12 races from May-October 2007.
Hopefully, it will result in better racing for Canadian motor sport fans and better opportunities for Canadian drivers and teams.
We shall have to wait and see.
Regards
Does anyone know who to contact for pics from Elsinore Grand Prix?
The big winner has to be Tony Novotny; this is the second time he's sold CASCAR to NASCAR.If true, you won't be able to watch the entire season unless you have cable.
Is there anyone that has had a problem with the Yamaha ATV Rhino concerning Roll Overs?
Then there will be one more series that Tony Stewart can lose in and Bully his way into. How did J. Johnson finish 14th when he had a pit road violation??
Hopefully they won't screw it like they did to ASA, as well as regional NASCAR racing around the country. If you are married to danica patrick, who drives?
I don't think it will affect Canadian stock car racing all that much. When the Bush series race is held in Montreal next year CASCAR will likely be the support race which is good exposure. NASCAR gets good television ratings, but I doubt that motivates very many people to actually attend CASCAR events. Perhaps NASCAR's marketing savvy can help CASCAR increase their TV ratings. The thing is; NASCAR fans tend to be NASCAR fans, not necessarily motorsports enthusiasts in general.I street race now but I want to go pro Off Road were do i start?
I think it will help stock car racing in Canada, but it won't make the series grow to be as strong as NASCAR is in the States. What we will see is some of the NASCAR guys going up and racing when possible. That will help build the fan base just the same as the Busch Series has grown the past several years. What I am hoping is that NASCAR doesn't ruin the Series like they have the Weekly Racing Series and the Regional Series. The Weekly Racing Series hardly gets anything out of NASCAR although they cost the local tracks huge amounts for franchise fees. The Regional Series are all but doomed at the end of this season. That in itself doesn't gve me much hope for the Canadian Series.
well, i hope it only benefits both parties. i hope the fans get a lot out of it and the sport continues to grow..
Where can I get NASCAR video? Mainly of Roush Racing?
The biggest thing it will do is make the rules uniform accross the board from track to track and lower the cost for the competitors that want to compete week to week. As far as drivers going north, I truly doubt it. Maybe CASCAR can be what the busch series is supposed to and develop future Cup drivers and not provide an extra test session for the wealthy teams.More Questions & Answers...
