Why do people watch NASCAR? (For Nascar Fans)?
I mean your sitting down in the bleachers or in your living room watching cars lap around a circle 500 times. I just dont see any excitement in watching that. I'd rather watch grass grow. Seriously.

It's a redneck pride parade.
Doing 360's in an automatic transmition. i have a way that i do it, but Is there another way?
I watch it because I have a Nascar league and I get 350$ if I win. I could see how it would be boring if you were just regularly watching it because that's all they do is go around in a circle but if you are watching it for money then it is much more interesting. To see the wrecks! That's the best part, the rest I could care less about
It's for men that have nothing to do all the cars are basically the same. the men that watch every game just want to see the wrecks so they can have some thing important to talk about. The ones that just keep up are strange they have nothing to do so they watch it.
How do you double clutch with a stick shift car?
People just have different tastes.Take a guess: who are my 6 fave nascar drivers?
someone who ask a question like this diffenly hasnt actually watch a race in the bleachers where its most exicting along with the recks.Earnhardt vs The King , your thoughts?
well than watch grass grow. it's the excitement of the race, wondering who will win, who wil break down, and for the fun of the game just like watching football, soccer, hockey, baseball, or whatever you like!I agree. Why would any sane person want to watch a bunch of rental cars driven by hillbillies and rednecks for hours on end. I watch plenty of racing, GT and LeMans type endurance racing mostly. The beautiful Astons, Porsches, Corvettes, Vipers and even DP cars are interesting to look at and are so very different from one another. NASCAR, on the other hand, with their generic Taurus's and Monte Carlos with decals for headlamps all look exactly alike. It's not even trhat I really give a rats-@ss what other people do, It's that damn ATTITUDE that drives me nuts! Everytime I see a hillbilly driving around in a pickup with a giant number 3 on the back glass I want to puke!! If you love him so damn much, DIG HIM UP!!! Just shut-up with it already!
Okay race time.pick a winner at dover...post before the race starts!!?
The same reason people watch anything else. Because they like it.***what shall i buy a 2 stroke 26cc petrol remote control car or a nitro whats the difference***?
think about it if you was in a Nascar race against 42 other drivers and fighting for the win it would be intense right?wrecks, speed attitude,impatience,money,posi... whats not to love about Nascar just because there going around in circles it doesn't mean that its not excitingBecause they are race fans and NASCAR is the number one form of racing in America :)
besides, you cant be a fan, if you dont know who to root for
Did Chevrolet produce a 6 cyl Corvette in the early 80s? Possibly a Calif. edition.?
To each his own.Is the real ID act a chip so the gov. can tell where you are?
its the same thing as people who whatch every sundays football game, baseball, basketball, it goes by the things you like me i watch it for the cars the wreaks its just an intersting sport to watch t see the control the skill of the crewsWhat is the most practical car below 2.5L?
Why do people ask why people like something when they have no intention of listening and just use it as an opportunity to slag something off?!I'm English and I watch as much NASCAR as I can, I enjoy it, the close racing the drafting, the speed! It's good to sit down and watch it with a few beers and not have to worry about pit strategies and the FIA interfering with everything cos their team isn't winning!
I love F1 too, in fact I love Motor Racing and watch as much as I can.
What is the excitement of watching GOLF?What is the excitement of watching FOOTBALL?Or what is the excitement of watching the POKER GAMES?
They are competitions between man.We are such a society that competition is the relaxation for the everyday work-a-day human.
Personally I have followed NASCAR since 1960 and have been going to football games since 63.I still enjoy both becuse they are a competition.
Who thinks what Jeff Gordon did to Matt Kennsth was payback ??
if u know the drivers, and what they have to go through every race, if u have a favorite driver, or you hate a certian driver, it would be better for u to watch, pick up a mag, read about them, pick a driver, read where they come from, read read read, then watch, i have been to over a hundred of races, i have driven 12 hours straight just to go to the tracks, but having friends come over to watch to race is just as fun, thats how i can sit on my couch(or outside when its nice) and watch my driver going round the circle 500 times.Does anyone know if Chad Knaus has a girlfriend?
To each their own. I enjoy the speed of the cars and the strategies involved in running a race. If you really wanted to pay attention and get to understand it a little bit better, you would find that it involves more than just going around in a circle 500 times.Better yet, get inside of a race car at one of the driving experiences and see that it takes some tremendous ATHLETIC skill from the drivers to perform as they do.
I used to think that way too, until a friend of mine got me hooked! There is just something about it...it is hard to explain.
The high speeds, cars beating and banging on each other, bumper to bumper. The cars are entering turn 4 reaching speeds close to 190mph, all of a sudden you see cars spinning around...you are holding your breath at this moment. Trying to see if your driver was involved, or who was...and if they are okay. Did your drivers day just go down the drain or did he come through it okay and still has a chance to win.
There is so much more to racing than just cars going around the track...you just need to watch and get into to totally understand. It is just like any sport...there is so much more to it.
it is exciting because if you have a favorite driver/drivers then you wanna see how they do,and usually you get hooked when you watch a race that is exciting as hell to watch such as Talladega/Daytona/Bristol...th... you will continue watching,i fell in love with NASCAR in 2002 when i watched the Bristol Night Race and i just loved it ever since you should watch this weekends race in Talladega it will be a good one
NASCAR is just a different form of racing, that tests different skills.
In road racing, the main thing is competition between the driver and the track. Competing with other drivers is rare. In Formula One, it's almost nonexistent. Cars are usually very different and the car is very important. The guy who can lap fastest usually wins.
NASCAR is a head to head competition between drivers and teams. The idea is to see who can deal best with racing around turns on a very crowded track. Lots of people have pretty similar cars. Pure speed is important, but so are tactics and planning. It's less pure than road racing, but very exciting, if you understand what's going on.
Tony Stewart did not have the fastest car last Sunday, but he gambled on fuel and just won, coasting across the finish line. Other teams gambled on fuel and some lost big. The fastest guys played it safe by refueling, but lost to Stewarts gamble. Good stuff.
Will M Schumacher stay in Ferrari for 2007?
I love it. You never know what will happen. I find it exciting. I have never been to an actual live race but if I did I'd rather go to a small track like Bristol so that I could see more of the track. I am a fan of #6 and #99!More Questions & Answers...
