I would have to say Tony Stewart with Dale Jr a very close 2ND . I like Stewart for his give none. take all style of driving. When other drivers see him in their mirror they know not to hold him up very long if he is faster than them because he will move you out of the way,kinda reminds me of the MAN who drove that black #3.NASCAR seems to put a lot of stock in what he has to say they have taken action a couple of time this year when he complained.Tony Stewart also has a ton of talent he can drive the wheels off a race car I also like his take no crap attitude if you rough up Tony Stewart you WILL get roughed up in return.It was only a few years back that even though I wasn't nor have I ever been a Jeff Gordon fan deep in my heart I knew he was the best driver.There is a new king in town has been for a couple of years his name. my top picks are tony stewart and jeff gordon. they are both great driver's but different people.they are both wheel men. they will race the hell out of anything and everything with wheels, and tehy can both do an amazing job behind the wheel. they both have similar backgrounds too. usac stuff. midgets, go carts, indy cars, sprint cars and so on..
jeff.. you just have to respect him. he's put a positive face on this sport and has some serious skills. he has the drive to be the best all the time. he will not settle for 2nd. he came into the sport at a young age (before it was normal like it is today) and dominated. i mean.. seriously, he could light 'em up against guys that have been racing for 20 years.. he's a great mentor for younger driver's and can teach a lot. he's also done a lot outside the racing community. i mean.. he just exudes awesomness..
tony, i love tony for his amazing driving skills. he is first and foremost a driver. it's what he loves to do, and he would do it for free as long as he had a roof over his head. he doesnt' care about the fame..he doesn't care about the money..he cares about the drive. he has an unbridaled sense of passion for the sport. he is raw and honest and i love that. he has so much passion that it gets mis-read into so many things. i mean, he cares enough to get mad when he wrecks that's beatiful. he's not robotic. he is honest. pure honesty is rare today..esp with the new nascar fines. he doens't put a lot of effort into what others think of him. he doesn't intentionally try to piss people off, but he's not going to sell himself out for other's joy either..he's got the spirit that people who grew up in racing love to see. he'll go to a dirt track on quieter weekends with his gear and see if anyone has an extra ride and he'll get in there and ride around the small tracks. not so he can do it for the headlines, but b/c he wants to be there to race. and when he does something like that he puts just as much into it.. he puts 110 into winning anything he goes for.. it's his spirit, tenacity, and sheer will power that is awesome.he gets misread and has taken a lot of b/s in his time, and has come along way and bounced back since his anger management days..he has not forgotten who he is or where he comes from. he cares about those who have been in his life from day one and will do anything for them. he takes care of the people he loves.. and he cares and gives back.. this kind of wraps it up ..

Elliott Saddler bc he's such a wonder person over alltony stwart i like the way he drives and and his attiude on the track that what i like i agree bumping is racing and he solves his problems on the track. not off the track
