1987 honda accord and when the car is warmed up the idle is very high and when you put in P. the RPM reaches 3

Question:when the car is cold then the rpm is fine but when it gets warmed up the RPM is 3000-4000

Answers:

First, I would check for a cracked vacuum line. A vacuum leak could cause your high idle. Especially around the intake manifold. Generally, if any air is leaking around the intake, it will bump up the idle. Make sure your choke is working normally, too.
