F1 car desinger?
How do you become a desinger of a f1 car desingin all ayrodynamics and chassis of the car
Answers:
How would I go about to get into the race car profession?
F1 cars are designed inside in due to the wonders that Carbon Fibre Composites (CFCs) offer. So the Aerodynamicists initially design the chassis (note: the cars have a monocoque structure so the chassis and outer shell is the same thing), then it'll go on to the structural/stress engineer who will make areas thicker to cope with more stress in areas where it is needed. So think about which part of the design you'll like to get involved with as there are several completely different areas. You will need a good degree in mechanical/aeronautical engineering (or something similar) and have worked in a performace engineering zone for the experience (aerospace, motorsport etc). Aerodynamicists use CFD (computational fluid dynamics) as a tool to design the cars so it's a good idea to have CFD/CAD expererience. A City & Guilds qualification in CAD would help.
There are grauduate schemes with F1 teams but they are very hard to get on likewise with sponsorship. There are also post-grad degrees like M.Sc. in motorsport management and engineering at cranfield uni, but they are very popular and there is no guarantee of getting a job at the end.
Williams F1 sponsor their employees to do this degree part time so theres ways of doing it all risk free, you dont wanna find out that you have no chance of a job after you've forked out loads of money.
Engineering is a funny area to get in, as it's not all academic so i would recommend an apprenticeship in the aerospace/motorsport sector and you will most likely gain academic qualifications alongside that.
I'm a materials engineer at BAE Systems and would like to work in F1, i am getting sponsored to do a B.Eng degree in Mech Eng. i'm playing it safe, making sure i have a job in F1 before i resign from my current job.

you probably have to be working for a big car company
How much money did the winner of the Daytona 500 recieve this year?
you have to be an aerodynamic engineer and a very good one. i was going for that major but switched to industrial design. Can i use and intercooler for a turbo as an aftercooler for a supercharger?
Many of the present day designers such as Adrian Newy have engineering degrees from prestigious English universities. Newey has a First Class honours degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Southampton.John Barnard, who designed for, among others, McLaren and Ferrari gained a diploma from Watford College of Technology in the 1960s.
South African-born Gordon Murray worked as a missile designer for Hawker Siddeley in Britain before landing a job with Brabham, where he designed the infamous `fan car.'
Others, such as Tim Densham, a mechanical engineering graduate from Lancaster Polytechnic, joined Lotus as a design engineer, but also worked as race engineer for the late Elio de Angelis (at Lotus). Later, he did design work for Brabham and Renault.
When gas price will go back to 99 cent?

Hey Stewart fans...are you sick of all the Tony-bashing crybabies who show up here on Answers?
Very slowly seems to be the answer. If Ross Brawn is an example, he started in nuclear-energy, spent five years studying instrumentation, then over a period of time, developed the necessary skills in motor-racing.
Take a look at the modern Formula One car, and it is as different from a normal car as a moon rocket is different from a Jumbo Jet.
It's not just a question of the all important aerodynamics, but also about materials science, suspension, weight distribution, carbon brakes, special alloys, tyres, production methods, mouldings, electronics, computing, telemetry, man management, logistics, driver co-operation and, just as important, a full understanding of what makes a car fast and reliable.
Make no mistake, as designers, the best are on a par with the NASA engineers who put people on the moon. It really is that complex, and apart from a brilliant academic knowledge, a Formula One designer has to be bullet-proof in his instincts and breadth of knowledge.
THEN they have to learn how to live out of a suitcase and travel the world; often under quite difficult circumstances and to very tight schedules.
The job is a killer, and it comes as no suprise that Ross Brawn, having worked with Michael Schumacher and Ferrari, is now enjoying a long rest.
