Formula 1 is absolutely amazing. This season was the most exciting season in the history of the sport ever. It was ecstatic to see Michael Schumacher, the king of F1, come back so strongly at Fernando Alonso who was unfortunately the eventual champion.Next year, it'd be great too as Alonso has gone to Mclaren and Raikkonen has stepped into Schumacher Sr.'s shoes.

I've been watching F1 for nearly 10 years and I think it is an absolutely amazing test for both man and machine. I don't care what others(stock car fans) say about it, it is a greater challenge to drive 78 laps around the streets of Monaco at 200kph than spinning round and round 300 times on a silly oval.In F1, a driver must know how to drive as fast as possible and, at the same time, preserve the technical part in intact shape. That's a trademark of great F1 champions. For Nascar fans... One of your drivers drove a F1 car and he described driving the F1 car as "flying a F-18 fighter" compared to a stock car("a big old 747").
5-6 G's pulled by the drivers on hard braking and in very fast turns... that's enough to break your neck if you don't have training. Some say that monkeys can drive F1 cars because of the TC system, but let me tell you something: IT'S NOT TRUE. Even with that system, it's very hard to drive a F1 car, if you set it up wrong then you have to fight either understeer or oversteer in every corner... I don't imagine stock car drivers doing that on an oval.
F1 is just exquisite in every way. And that's the end of it.

Many, many, many, very many people! even girls! I have been watching F1 since I was 8 years old, about 10 years ago...I was a little girl, but the sport just fascinated me. My father was watching this sport and I started watching it with him and now I always watch F1 together with my father. if you're into follow the leader racing with no lead changes and million dollar cars that do all the work, requiring very little skill from the driver, then yes, F1 is awesome.hey renaultfan, speaking of drivers who have driven both cars, i'm watching 'NASCAR live' right now and juan pablo mantoya is being interviewed. he just finished saying the bigger, heavier stock cars require more skill from the driver than F1 cars. now that he has a couple of NASCAR busch series races under his belt, i'd say that makes him the worlds biggest expert on the subject.
and it's ovious you've never watched a NASCAR race, if you think 'oversteer and understeer' are not a factor. but we don't say oversteer and understeer, we say tight and loose, same exact thing. the #1 factor in determening the winner in a nextel cup race is who can adjust their cars during pit stops to have them handling the best at the end of the race. tight and loose conditions in race cars is a much, much bigger factor in NASCAR than it is in F1. drivers constantly have to adjust their driving styles during the race(driving a higher line when the car is tight, getting on and off the gas and breaking earlier or later), to compensate for handleing problems. again, it comes down to the skill of the drivers and the pit crews making the adjustments, that's what determines who wins the race, where in F1, it's all about the car.
so how can you be so sure that F1 is better than NASCAR if you've never even seen a NASCAR race? it's ovious NASCAR fans are far more informed than F1 fans. we've accually watched both, so we know what we're talking about
