What Happened to Bud Smith from the Cardinals?
The only absolute reason why you would be ok in trading Vlad is if your are getting Rollings And a damn good staring pitcher other than that forget it cuz Vlad is gonna Average 30+ homers, 300+ batting average and 110+ RBIs and i know your outfield will fall big time if you lose Vlad so plz do ot trade Vlad For Jimmy.Hell No, Vlad is one of the best sluggers in all of baseball and he should not be traded. Jimmy Rollins is a great player, but not good enough to be traded for Vlad Guerrero.
you'd be stupid to do so.
here's my reason why saying so.
rollins is what..5 foot 8 on a good day..and people think he's a power hitting short stop? lol..trust me when i tell you he's not. he benefited big time last year ..he and utley..from howards amazing second half..and like i said before no way in hell would howard do the same thing again..which is hit 354 and 30 plus bombs in the second half. ..guess what? howards on the dl with leg problems and that can't be good for A HITTER AND FIRSTBASEMAN...and since howards been out of the lineup up ROLLINS hasn't hit much of anything. matter of factly he couldn't hit a donkey standing still. there's a reason for that. HOWARD ISN'T IN THE LINEUP AND NO ON IS AFRAID OF UTELY ON HIS OWN.
trade vlad if you think you need to..that's your choice. but you'd be pretty crazy to do so if you ask me (and you did!) i mean seriously you can probably give up a lot less for ss. and there's some decent people on the wire. give youre league page and we could look at the wire and tell you who's worth picking up.
So what was that Red Sox fan's beef anyway?
With the numbers this season...I think that you shouldn't make the trade. If you do you would be making a big sacrifice! Will the Phillies beat their 1-6 record?
Personally, no. Rollins is in a groove right now as good as one he's ever been in, but he's a guy that always streaks. He had that really long hitting streak at the end of 2004, and he started off 2005 hitting like .250 through mid-May. You dont' want to acquire Rollins and watch him hit a slump. Vlad almost never slumps, and he's going to give you top 10 production when it's all said and done.Go with the sure thing, reject the trade.
What company was going to give Joe DiMaggio an endorsement had he collected hit #57 ?
I would reject the trade. You may need infield help, but Rollins is merely a solid (not outstanding) solution. Your asking price for Guerrero should be much higher. Is Josh Hamilton the real deal??
