Also work on your lower body. Back squats are great at building your quads/thighs/gluts. Notice most power hitters have big thighs/gluts - lots of power comes from their. Bat speed and quickness comes from the wrists (which helps power, obviously) but sheer power comes from the thighs.

You need to build up your wrist and forearm strength. This will help you a lot in you power and speed.strengthen your wrists... or use a lighter bat...

Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox?
Just lift weights. Start with a light one and then go on to heavier ones. Do this every day to build arm strenghth. This helped me a lot. I also practiced hitting the ball with the sweet spot of the bat.Whats your favorite thing 2 do?
Start working on one handed hitting drills. Use a shortened bat and work the bottom hand first. Make sure and use a quick explosive motion. After 10 hits, switch to your top hand. Again work on a quick explosive motion. After 3 sets of each, you can start using a regular bat with both hands. Focus on the quick explosive motion and follow through. As the other answers have said, you need to work forearm strength. After words, your contact on the ball will be much better, which will in turn allow yo to hit more homeruns.
