Do YOU think the Yankees made the right decision in getting rid of Shefield?

Question:no yes/no answer will be selecting. I want justification from the yanks current lineup, expenditure, or even "current" batting averages/RBIs/Runs/etc. from their "current" lineup.

Note: any answer saying it doesnt matter b/c of their pitching will be ignored b/c i'm confident they will get another pennant. GO YANKEES!

to the Red Sox fans goodluck... I hope we play... and we will definately beat you, again, in the Semis... don't mention the one fluke year cuz I'LL (we will) tear you apart (even w/ Dice K)...

Answers:

CARDS FANS, where are you?!?!?!?!?

Yes because he is stinking it up in Detroit. They also made the right move to not re-sign Mariano did you see that bomb he gave up to Scutaro to blow the game? He's obviously lost something on his pitches. Cashman's looking real smart right now it's just his whole pitching staff is injured.

Who would you rather have as your franchise player. David Wright or miguel Cabrera?

Anything to weaken the Yankmees is a good thing

Need some help increasing my accuracy?

they definitely made the right decision, but i believe it has nothing to do with what you're looking for, in terms of statistical reasoning

the reason this is a good decision is because he was unhappy that he wasn't being paid and was going to disrupt chemistry in the clubhouse until he got what he wanted, a fat paycheck which was not warranted based on his age and his wrist problems...the yankees figured that they would be better off saving giambi for offense by allowing him to be the dh, and trying to find a quick fix at first base

the statistics of this situation shouldn't be looked at until much later this season, we're only two weeks into the season and there's really no reason to try to analyze this decision with numbers yet

When is Wang supposed to come back?

In a way that they got a young, promising pitching prospect in Humberto Sanchez and a few pitching prospects in return for a 37-38 Sheffield. If Sanchez and Hughes come up within the next yr or two, you developed 2 good pitchers who might do well on the next level. They sure are trying to rebuild their minor league system, and not chase after proven players as it has hurt the team. Pavano? Weaver? Etc.

As far as their current lineup, I think they'll be fine without Sheffield. I mean you still go the same lineup with Damon, Giambi, Jeter, A-Rod, Posada, and Abreu. But pitching might be a problem when Pavano, Wang, and Mussina gone. Losing Matsui will hurt, but it won't be long til he starts producing again. They got the hitters, so losing Sheff won't effect them too much.

Does anyone have any advice on being forbidden to coach little league softball?

As a Red Sox fan, I was pissed that the Yanks managed to get some terrific pitching prospects from the Tigers in exchange for a washed-up future DH.

So, from your prespective as a Yanks fan, this was a GREAT move by Cashman and Co. The Yanks already have plenty of hitters, and they desperately needed to shore up their pitching in the minors.

So the Yanks exchanged an aging bat with a history of injuries and a crummy attitude, and landed good pitching prospect to shore up their aging rotation and empty minor leagues. And they cut salary. I'd say that's a helluva a move.

Looking forward to next week in Fenway.

What legendary cardinals startitled his 1920s book my war with baseball?

Yes, the Yanks need youth and players that can stay healthy.

What two teams would you like to see playing for the World Series this year?

Yes, my team is happy to have him.

What is for you the best all star team in baseball history?

No I really like Shefield, he was a good player to me.
