I don't care if Bonds breaks the record or not because Aarons is baseball King and always will be. Just like if whoever were to win more games than Cy Young, Cy Young will always be baseball king.
But, if he ended up hitting 50 HR's, then he would deserve it because even if you took away the HR's he hit with steroids, he'd still past that margin and would be greatly over Aarons record. So, that would be a different story.

The problem then becomes that baseball will have to freeze all stats until all current players are gone and they know that the sport is clean. That wouldn't be fair to the clean players and it wouldn't really make much sense for the game either. Bonds was not the only star player to use and that includes pitchers. People focus too much on Bonds and forget about the rest. Plus it remains that there were many other factors for the spike in homeruns during that period. Smaller strikezone, tighter woven baseballs, bad pitching...I think Bonds used but there really isn't much baseball can do at this point unless he tests positive or the feds get him. And as hard as the feds have been trying for the past few years and have failed, I don't see it happening.

Steroids are not going to make a guy hit homeruns. It's way more about your swing and hand eye than about your power. If he didn't do steroids, he would maybe have 25 to 30 less homers at the most. Almost everyone these days is on steroids of some kind so it's not like you can just get on Barry's case about it. It's a world wide sporting problem and has been for a few decades.Steroids or not. No, because as we speak there are records with the names of other players that may or may not of used steroids. They don't have to hold the record, but there names are on the lists. Canseco, Mack, etc. So if he can't hold his record, we need to make sure that every steroid user is banned, wiped away, and removed from baseball history.We live in a society that most things are forgotten if the rules weren't in place when it happned.
What MLB will look at, all drug tests taken since the inseption of the ban of steroids from baseball. I'm sure they have record of all of Bond's tests. With the govt involved, it will come out one way or another.

Barry Bonds is not a cheater.I am sorry to disagree with you. Speculations are very high around him yes, but he is not accused or proven guilty to any charges. I understand the evidence is very very interesting, but I bring up the point that he wasn't proven guilty to anything. The thing that really bugs me is that the commissioner isn't going to see the game. This is the biggest looked upon stats in all of the Sports generation and Selig will not go and see it.No, myself I don't think Bonds should hold the record because he was using steriods but I mean look at baseball about 2- 4 years ago I think everyone in the game was doing it so its hard to tell what baseball will do.

well in some ways. he is a person unliked by most all baseball fans and maybe for good reason. but if he is undeseving of the home run record then so is mark mcgwire and jose cansaco and all the steroid users. but really to be honest would you have been so into baseball in the 90s if it wasnt for these stars homerun mania like the bash bros. in oakland and home run record beat. to be honest i like the added drama in mlb but it isnt fair to other players who are really good but are overshadowed because of guys taking drugs that make them big in the right places but small in the wrong places if you know what i mean :). i well say bonds credibilty is forevershattered he will go down as an unliked player who beat a sports heros record. i know im watch the homerun record but i wont really care when he breaks it. But come on 95% of Bonds homers have been mamoth shots. without the steroids they may not have been as far but they would be over the fence. Like it or not Barry never tested positive for steroids, so the only things that are gonna keep him from the home run record are injury, if he gets convicted for perjury, or he gets hit by a bus.
