No, there is just too much talent, I do not really see him like a tony gwyn etc who can do it day in and day out. This year look for Miguel Cabrera to be your leading hitter. Power, pop and vision, he's on his way.Who is the greatest baseball player of all time ?
I just can't see Sanchez doing it this year. I don't don't see him being to do it day in day out. Not enough power with this guy to help him with it. Really the 1 I thought that would win the batting title this season is off for a poor start batting under .150 with just 1 home run so its to early in the season to tellEarned runs question has stumped 4 baseball fanatics so far that were my friends?
I dont think he will but he has a great chance to hey he could prove me wrong. It is possible, but highly unlikely. Although Sanchez is a good hitter, it is very difficult for anyone to repeat as a batting champion. Freddy was hurt in spring training and only now has begun to play. Although the rest of the league has a week or so head start on him, he has been doing pretty good as evidenced by his 3 hit performance in his first game back. He also must concentrate on playing a new position (2nd Base), so he must put more emphasis on defense. I think he will have another fine year offensively, however, even most Hall of Famers don't win back-to-back batting titles. Go Bucs!
