When did the MLB ny giants leave New York?
Yes pretty much. The fans get excited at the contact and the ball in the air. What you hear is the intial "ahh" when the ball is hit, but once it starts coming down short of the fence you can hear the cheers die very quickly. I had this happen when I batted in high school all the time since we had a roof right over our bleachers, the fans couldn't see that it was just a routine fly ball.Which would you rather have in 2007: Reds or Cubs pitching?
Yes, the average fan in the stands who only goes to the odd game will invaribly react to a ball hit in the air like it's going out. The farther away you are from the action, the harder it is to judge the distance accurately.Which Team is going to win the World Series?
It can be harder to judge the distance when your watching a game in personDo fans hold Baseball up to a different standard then other sports?
I remember when I was a little kid and went to my first game, I thought every hit in the air looked like a homerun right off the bat... But after a few games I learned to judge the ball better and now I can almost always judge a hit from an out. A lot of fans are still in the stage where they can't judge it.Papi for president! How you like that Homer Yankees?
The ball is hit so hard by the professonals that it's very hard to judge in the air.I remember going to a Yankees game once and Vernon Wells was up and he hit it so high it was higher then the stadium.I remember saying to my friend thats a home run.Turned out just to be a flyout.I have gotten better at judging how well the ball is hit now but still i'm not perfect.Do you think that there is an imminent trade with the Yankees current pitching woes?
It does have a lot to do with not being able to judge where the ball is going. Often, they figure it out after a second or two and the excitement just seems to turn off.More Questions & Answers...
