LIFT! you'll end up getting more power throughout when you start to play!Last Person In The MLB To Steal 100 Bases In A Single Season?
OK bro try this formula. Off season heavy weight low reps, for increased strentgh and mass. During the season I would lift even more often, but with low weight(60% of your max) with higher reps. This will keep you toned and strong during the season, also the type of lifting is key for flexibility and stamina. Regular season use tricep extension, and fly's, not too mention lunges and squats. Off season try bench, incline and decline, lat raises, seated rows, and NO curls. Plus work your shoulder and your tricep 5x more than your chest and biceps, big biceps =baseball tragedy. Hope this helps.Good
Your body needs the maintanence. Consider it conditioning, as opossed to lifting. On the days you pitch you should get in the gym and do some leg work outs, light arms, abs and run.
never work out the day before your pitch, never max out or go to heavy during the season, use a fair weight, strech your muscles before but most importantly after.
I heard some people say Ortiz is only goo cause Manny hits behind him?
DO NOT LIFT! depending on the sport, baseball would be the worst because you are playing everyday. although it might help you grow in the long run it will not make a huge difference right away and will just make your pitching arm maybe even too sore to throwWhat is the rule for networks such as Fox for showing MLB teams only so many times per season?
Probably not if you have a game the next day. But, if you have like 4 or 5 days off for whatever reason, that gives you enough time to recover so you aren't sore. I don't know if I would lift the day before the game, though.More Questions & Answers...
