Answers:

Wilbur wood vs. Tim Wakefield- better knuckleballer?

Torre, Jeter, Willians, Rivera's number will be automaticly retired when he retires hes the only active ball player to still wear 42, the rest of those players it is to early to tell.

Does anyone know what a complete unopened 1995 Upper Deck Collector's Choice set of cards go for?

What about Giambi?
If the Yankkes win with him there is a chance, he has put up some nice numbers here

If Babe Ruth never was a pitcher and was always a right fielder, could he have gotten 1,000 home runs?

ok.. they don't retired players just because...

I agree with Jeter, O'neil, Torre, and Rivera.. (although Rivera at 42 will have to be retired alongside Jackie Robinson's 42)

I think you gave the rest a bit of a high chance though.. and Giambi? are you kidding me...

Does anybody else think Steve Phillips is an idiot?

Definetly Jeter's #2 Possibly Joe Torre's # 6-a number also worn by Clete Boyer, Tony Lazzeri and Roy White That would take care of all the single digit Yankee numbers. Rivera is about a 70% chance due to a couple of huge mis -cues Game 7 2001 WS & Game 4 2004 ALCS

Once the A's get all their starters back, they will become a World Series contender?

As much as the Yankees retire too many numbers- really should not have retired Reggie Jackson or Ron Guidry, or even Roger Maris with the short career he had in New York, I think Torre, Jeter, Williams are definites. Rivera's 42 will be retired not only for him but because every team retired 42 for Jackie Robinson ten years ago. They may retire O'Neill only because they do go overboard, and if they retire him they should retire Brosious. Probably will retire Posada because he'll have numbers better than Yogi when he retires. Give Steinbrenner 74 because he was born on the fourth of July.

Who is going to win the world series?

Definitely Jeter, Rivera, and Williams Possible T. Martinez, I hope A.Rod never in though

Do you think i should be suspended fo the rest of the season(40 games)?

only #42 right now,in the future I would say jeters #2

Who do you think will win the NL East?

#2- Jeter 100%
#6- Torre 100%
#51- Williams 95%
#42- Rivera 101%
#20- Posada 90%
#13- Rodriguez 90%
#25- Giambi 95%

GO YANKEES!!

What does the baseball player give up for his bat?

I would say Jeter and Torre would be locks, and maybe Williams. Number 42 will go for sure, since it is retired by MLB. The others are all stretches, IMHO. If you just go out and retire numbers by the bushel, what numbers would be left for future Yankees to wear?

Where to find the abbott and costello routine for the red sox?

#1 Martin, #3 Ruth, #4 Gehrig, #5 DiMaggio, #7 Mantle, #8 Berra and Dickey, #9 Maris, #10 Rizzuto, #15 Munson, #16 Ford, #23 Mattingly, #32 Howard, #37 Stengel, #44 Jackson. Read those names and think about it! With the exception of Munson and Jackson and perhaps Mattingly. Those names are sacred, (I don't think Jacksons # should have been retired), Munson was a fan favorite as was Mattingly so they are a toss up. Think about what the others did for the game. I would say Jeter has the best shot followed by Torre. Bernie was a very good hitter and a clutch player, he was mediocre at best in the outfield. Rivera, well #42 is being retired by baseball but I think the Yakees will also retire it with Moe's name. Oneil, no way. Posada, no way, Tino, no way. Cano, you need a crystal ball, and A-Rod , like you said. Depends on his future with the team.

I just saw michael keaton do one of the worst 7th inning stretches ever!?

Derek Jeter and Jason Giambi, maybe Alex Rodriguez.

Why do people put their exact seat # on the internet?

Jeter and Mariano are for sure at this point. Torre I think it depends on when he leaves the team and under what circumstances. If Steinbrenner get pissed of and fires him I can't see him allowing them to retire the number regardless of the amount of WS titles he gets. If he retires from baseball as a Yankee then he will get the honor at the same time as Jeter. Those two will be linked forever.
