Can anybody explain this whole chicago cubs being traded thing?

It's not impossible to answer.

He's gone to a 3-0 count on 293 occasions during his career. In 276 of those situations, he ended up walking the batter. You can get stats for each ball-strike count on his splits page here:

Why can't I get daily scores for my baseball team (the angels of anaheim or LA) on "my yahoo"?

What's the way to make your swing faster?

Never, well maybe once in his long career. Seriously, Maddux is one of the great control pitchers to ever play the game. If you are a baseball fan and have never seen him pitch in person, you should make an effort to see him pitch before he retires. He is a master at what he can do, a class act, a sure Hall-of-Fame pitcher, and a real asset to the game of baseball.

What is "Subway Series" ?

Thanks Craig, but note that the site you reference indicates that the data for years before 2000 is likely to be incomplete. So he has gone 3-0 at least 293 times - probably many more.

I think this question was asked because it was discussed by Cincy announcer Marty Brenneman last week. He and his partner Tracy Jones claim the answer was 18! A quick check of on-line box scores shows he has done it 18 times since last July! Maddux is a great pitcher and will end up in the Hall of Fame, but I don't know where these guys came up with their numbers.
