I don't have any inside info. However I would have to say buy the jersey. He stays or goes he is a hall of fame picther. His Minnesota jersey will be similar Roger Clemens Boston jersey. It from where they started their careers. Also he win will always be a Twin in our hearts.Plus I would have to say that there is about a 90% chance he stays. First Twins have done well in the past of paying for their number 1 starters. I know they haven't had someone of Santana's ability. With the new stadium the Twins will have incresed revenue for a few years as fans rush to see new ballpark. They also will have the ability to trade him down the line if Liriano, Bonser, and Gaza all become good or great starters.The Twins would get many players and /or pitching prospects with any trade. The Twins have always done well to get something for players that they think they are going to lose. The thing that is most in the Twins favor is he is happy where he is at. The only down side is it might cost us Cuddyer or Morneau.

hard question. probably not, minnesota will pay him as much as he wants.he will leave, Minnesota isn't a big market team so they will be reluctant to give him the money he wants which should be in the $18-$20 million range, besides they can use that money for their other players. i see him with another team soon.

i have a feeling he would stay with minnesota. but also minnesota doesnt really spend a huge amount of money on players so he might go and look at offers from the bosox or yanks. so i would wait until after the offseason of 08.I would be surprised if he goes. He's a good pitcher.
