Highschool baseball: on a team of one more than you need for playing defense or the field, how should a coach?
Question:..play the players. Can a coach sit a player out for the entire game? Is there a minimum for what a player should play when his skill to to par with the other players? Is there an official rule about playing your players on a high school baseball team.?
Answers:
What 5 MLB players would baseball be better off without?
I believe you can sit one player for an entire game, but you`re not going to make it the whole season with that number of players. It is high school athletics, playing time is not required, nor should it be. High Schools usually have tryouts for teams and many kids just don't make it. Athletic ability, attitude, and grades can have an impact. Look up your state athletic association and find their rules on playing time. In baseball, many regulate the amount of innings players can participate in.
