I would not say Soriano. He makes $10 million this year but just ended a 20 game hitting streak, and he has reached base in every game this year. He is currently hitting .313 with 4 HR, 6 SB, and 20 runs scored. While he may be currently ranked around 10th in center fielders, he is starting to heat up and rising in the rankings, and the center fielders he is ranked behind are those superstars like Beltran, Sizemore, Jones, Wells and Suzuki.

Since the first guy already took Weaver, I'll go with Juan Pierre.The Dodgers gave $9m to a leadoff/two-guy whose OBP is a paltry .310, an absolutely unacceptable number for anyone in the order, never mind someone batting near the top of the lineup. Pierre can run, but he has absolutely no power - only four extra-base hits (no homers) in 39 games - and he's only scored 25 runs. I honestly have no idea why Grady Little insists on having him in anything other than the 8th spot at this point.

I don't know if JD drew really qualifies as a bust. He has only hit over 30 HR once, 100 RBI once and his lifetime Batting average is .285. He's not going to get better just because he's being paid more money. The Red Sox just overpaid for some really stupid reason (needed a left handed hitting outfilder with a gun?). His defence is definitley down this year but fenway isn't an easy field.

Well, Phat Al is hitting a lusty .239/.376/.510, which is only some 300 points off his pre-07 career OPS. That's pretty stunning. But I'd go with Weaver. He was never going to be an ace, but this year has been a complete disaster.

Dear God! I didn't expect them to jump out to a 10 game lead in the west but for crying-out-loud! Win a series! Beat the western division rivals more than once! PLEASE! This is the most disgusting start to a season I've seen in 20 years! I really thought this was the year we get back to the post-season. We've got the line-up, the defense, we finally got a pitching staff that looks like a pitching staff and we can't even get out of the f***ing starting gate! These guys look like a bunch of rookies in the first week of spring training! We're just now half-way through May and I'm ready to chalk the season up as a lost cause and start looking forward to next season. The life of a Rangers fan; un-freakin-believable!
