They can't just play on weekends because it would take forever to complete the series. It could then take three weekends plus one day of the fourth in a seven game series. So, weekday are also included. The ratings will probably be the same no matter what day the games are played.

But they're also allowing two days between the end of the LDS and the beginning of the LCS, and and a minimum of 3 days between the end of the LCS's and the beginning of the WS.
