Baseball Wrist Pain?
Question:I am a select baseball player and have recently been experiencing pain in my wrist when I throw. It carries over into my hitting also. The pain begins in my wrist, then spreads into the sides of my middle finger. Diagnosis? (I am 14-years-old)

Have your doctor refer you to a physical medicine doctor to have you checked for Carpal Tunnel. The symptoms you give could be those of Carpal Tunnel, which results from overuse of the wrist. It could be Carpel tunnel. Go to a Neurologist and have an EMG run. If the results confirm a possibility of carpel tunnel, then you can either try having steroid injections near the median nerve to see if that relieves your pain. Are you a pitcher? Do you throw junk pitches? Example, curveballs, sliders. anything that has excessive movement of the wrist. Maybe your wrist isn't strong enough to be throwing those pitches yet. If you DO NOT throw them properly, strain on your wrist is imense.
