They have really good young pitching and their top three of Bonderman, Verlander, and Robertson. Kenny Rogers should be back midseason. In the playoffs Maroth will go to the pen which will make a good bullpen even stronger. This top three matches up well with Schilling, Beckett, and Matsuzaka; Colon, Lackey, and Weaver; Martinez, Glavine, and Maine; and also Penny, Lowe, and Schmidt.
They have playoff experience now and this will help them a lot.
One question will be if Zumaya will be back and pitching well. Another will be if Sheffield will hit like he used to or is he washed up.
They have as good a chance as any team.

tigers have great chance. helped themselves on offensse by adding casey and sheffield. have good rotation and get rogers back in july which is like a great late season trade without giving anyone up. need healthy bullpen though.
