Should Barry Bonds steroid powered homeruns be disallowed ?

I have a number of questions about Barry Bonds quest for the homerun record .. Do you think he should retire ? Will you be happy if he breaks the record ? SHould his record be in another category or include the asterick ??

Please comment on my fantasy baseball team. Who should I trade for? Who should I add? Who should I drop?

Steroids are alleged, never proven by a blood test. He will pay with his health in the future.
As for the HR record, sure if they can prove he did roids. If you asterick Bonds you must do McGuire.

Manny and Ortiz all time?

He shouldnt retire, ven though hes old. I wont be happy if he breaks the record, but I do have some of his memoriblia, so it goes botyh ways for me. The record should have an asterisk because it obvious he used steroids.

What was the first year there were night games at Wrigley Field?

I think he should retire. I'll hate it if he breaks the home run record, which he probably will. It should definitely include an asterick. If I was a pitcher, I would bean him every time I pitched to him.

Will the Pittsburgh Pirates win the World Series in 2007?

Well, There is no official evidence of him taking steroids, although it's clearly obvious but if they ever do prove it in court then yes it should be disallowed. Even though they won't do it. As far as retiring? I think he has 1 more season left. I really won't care if he breaks the record. Well if he breaks it, it should be in the official Home Run Records, but if they prove he was using steriods then sure I guess.

How do you tell a counterfeit Red Sox ticket from a real one?

What difference does it make? Anyone who has followed baseball knows his record wil be clouded by steroids. I think an asterick might be nice for the 5 to 15 year olds who are now just learning about life, explaining how steroids may enhance performance and cause serious long term health problems. Should he retire? I don't think so. I think he should forfeit his earnings for the past fifteen years to fund shelters for the homeless, and he should be required to work for aliving for at least fifteen more years. Even if Bond "breaks the record", I won't take notice, as he has cheated himself of the right to make such a claim.

Baseball gloves?

correction, he USED steroids. he's not using them anymore. i fully support Bonds because he is a great player and he shouldn't retire. I mean if it's what he wants then i support it but he loves baseball and many love watching him play. and his record shouldn't be in a nother catagory or include an asterick. he hit the runs, it's true. would anyone want to put babe ruths record in another catagory? he is a great hero and deserves what he gets

Who do u think will do better this year Miguel Cabrera or Mike Jacobs?

No. Barry Bonds is absolutely legitimate. Even if he did do steroids (which hasnt been proven, just heavily speculated) he still should be praised indefinately. If you are going to cloud his stats with speculation saying that he would have hit 50 or so less homers without steroids then you need to give the homerun record to Babe Ruth who hit over 700 homers in the dead ball era, a time when power hitting was almost unheard of. The steroid era is part of the game and Barry Bonds should not be penalized for thriving during it. Remember, steroids were not illegal during his most successful years.

Why is baseball boring and cricket is more better?

he should retire after he break the homerun record ethis season for sure... i will be amazed if he breaks it and he most likely will, come on, only 18 more...thats not alot for barry.

...i hate all the haters that think he was on HGH and stuff, he is just one of the greatest hitters of all time and this is what his reward is, coming into reach with one of the biggest records of all time!

Who has the strongest arm in the MLB... Rafael Furcal or Juan Uribe?

You can't just point out just one man. Bonds to his credit only used for a short time. All of his homeruns are not bogus.

As for McGwire who used all but 2 season of his career that's another story.

There's not much we can do about changing the past.

Who get's their milestone 1st?

The fans wanted Home Runs, and he gave them to them= at the end of the day- the Steroids are as much the fault of the fans, media and ownership as are the players.

Yankees and Red Sox Rivalry?

if u take the HRs, you have to take the RBIs that came with them. you also have to take away runs from the players that scored on his HRs and lower the ERA of the pitchers who gave up the HRs. this would be the only fair thing to do.

Jose Reyes seems ready to become the best player in the majors what do you think?

did he ever test positive for steroids? no.
were steroids illegal in baseball before 2001? no.
did he hit homeruns off of pitchers who may have been using steroids as well? most likely?
was he doing anything that anyone in baseball wasn't doing? no.
should his future record have an asterisk? no.
