Question:The DH for baseball..a good idea? a bad idea?? why?

Whats the record for all-time RBI and season RBI?

It is a bad idea not because of blown up statistics or AL games being longer in duration, but simply because it is taking away from the game of baseball. There are kids in high school simply training to be DH's nowadays. Baseball like most sports has two parts, offense and defense. Why are these kids simply concentrating on one aspect of the game and expecting to make it to the big leagues?

Scrapping the DH from the AL would be a wonderful idea. It would force great hitters like Ortiz and the elder batsman Frank Thomas to pick up a glove and hit the field. What good is Ortiz's game if he can't field a ground ball, ie. Olmaedo Saenz.
