I love the game of softball. I played in at least 2 leagues a year for over twenty years.

Depends what your priorities are. If it takes away from your social/academic life, but instills a sense of discipline, cooperation, and dedication, it is entirely up to you to decide if it is worth it.

i personally think that softball is a sport that is reserved for really unathletic girls who can't play any other sport. So they play softball because it requires almost no physical talent

for one thing sports give you excercise which keeps you healthy and living longer.

Sports keep you laughing- which is supposed to make you live longer

Sports teach you teamwork, hard work, persistance, stance, how to play the sport (duh?!?!) and many other lessons that are important for life.

okay. to make things clear, softball takes a lot of physical talent.
it also takes a lot of mental talent too.
Softball is a great sport.
It shows off what girls can do.
I love the sport.
You can't explain much about it, because everything I love about it comes from how I feel on the field, and in the batters box.

My cousin played all her life. She got a full scholarship to ohio state and became a teacher. She had a great time playing softball all her life and now has a great job and family because of the sport. So is it a wast of time? No way!
