When will the Giants start hitting the ball and scoring runs!!!?
first step.purchase the BECKETT price guide for whatever sport card you are wanting to know the value of, they are issued by sport (baseball, football, basketball, hockey, golf, and they even have price guides for non sport cards like pokemon) the price guide lists each card set by year and brand (topps, upper deck, ect..) and if the particular card you are wanting to know the value of is worth anything then it will be listed in beckett....next step is to make sure the cards are in excellent condition, no scratches, marks ect, and make sure the 4 corners of the card are square and sharp, if you find any that are valuable $10, $20, and upwards you may want to put them in a protective sleeve so they stay in good condition, next find a sports card shop or sports card show at your local mall or vfw, you can generally find them listed in the beckett or your local newspaper, take your cards to the show and see if anyone is interested in buying them, but you must make sure you are educated about the price the cards are worth or some shark of a card dealer will wipe you out like you are wounded prey...for instance they may offer you $20 for a particular card and you may be thinking thats great until you sell it and come to find out its worth $200, but don't ever expect a dealer to give you full book value, there main goal is to be able to make a dollar as well.so being educated about your cards is your best offense and defense when you go to sell them, but also remember that a card truly is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.and this will depend on the brand of card, the rarity of the card, the popularity of the player on the card, how old or new it is, the condition of the card and how quickly the dealer thinks he can move it out and make his money..hope that helps you a little bitWill Johan Santana leave Minnesota as a free agent?
You got a price guide? Look them up, to see what's valuable. It takes a while for cards to be of vsalue. You must hold them until they begin to start getting rare. How many home runs does hank arron have?
