Question:Friday's game showed juss how much Red Sox are different from last year as they suffered from the second Boston Massacre. On friday A-Rod hitted two-homers but that wasnt enough to lead Yanks to win, when Red Sox scored 5 runs in the 8th inning, even agianst the "great" Mariano Rivera. red sox.at the moment the yankees have far more injury problems, so the red sox should be sweeping the 2 series in april and at least 2 of 3 in may.
after the all-star break john lester should be back to the major league roster where he will replace tavarez in the rotation (which is their only real weak link in the starting 5). by then the sox hitters should be playing better as well, so with both teams having healthy rosters towards the end of the year they should probably split the remaining games, with a slight advantage to the sox.

Nah .. I am alllllll for the Red Sox.. but .. we gotta be honest, that was just one game out of 19. And, even if the Sox do sweep the series.. the Yankees have some serious pitching issues right now becuse of injuries..I would love to see Sox vs. Toronto or Tampa Bay for the ALCS :)

Red Sox. Yanks have the worst pitching rotation in baseball. Pavano is horrible and overpaid. Rivera has blown 2 saves already. The Red Sox organization knew that it was time to step up the pitching this season because the Yanks always rely on offense and defense wins championships. My point is the Yankees never get the balnce in the right time. Example is they got a great lineup against the Devil Rays, but poor against theTigers. Thus concluding that the Bosox might win their series against the Yankees this season.
I don't see them in the ALCS. Bosox will win the ALDS, while the Yankees will get swept by the Twins in the ALDS. Then the Bosox will edge the Twins. And in the WS the Mets will do a repeat of the 86 WS where David Ortiz will be the choke artist.
