THis was after a new, 6-year collective bargaining agreement had been signed in March. As usual, this was after the owners had been told, by the courts, that some of the things that they were trying to do, and the manner in which they were trying to do them, was in violation of several labor laws.The individual who occupied and still occupies the office of the Commissioner cancelled the remainder of the season, and the post-season, in late September of 1994.
To date, this was the last strike and/or lockout in major league baseball.
