Do starting Major League baseball catchers lift weights during the season?
I don't think it's anything peculiar, it's just how Oliver Perez has been the past few years. Since his monster year in 2004 (2.98 ERA and 239 Ks) he has been a model of inconsistency, and that's why the Pirates gave up on him by dealing for Xavier Nady.Perez will look great, but he'll also break your heart too often with his loss of control. If he regains anything close to his 2004 status, you Mets fans will be very happy and will have gotten a steal via trade. Otherwise, be prepared for plenty of ups and downs.
It's early in the season, so some inconsistency happens. In fact, inconsistency happens a lot.
Luckily, Perez came back to great - just think how big a drag it would be if he went from great to sucks to sucks more!
How do you qualify as a rookie in major league baseball?
the reason he struggled vs the phillies i believe it was because of the weather it was below 40 and today's game the temp was about 60 so i guess he feels more comfortable pitching in warmer wheather like mostly all the pitchers.More Questions & Answers...
