Question:it is true they both are jerks of the field. But on the Field Ty Cobb played hard, and what he was naturaly played what he thought was the right way. while barry bonds cheated the game by artificialy making himself a great home run hitter.

And for the record - the only thing that has changed about the size of ball fields from the beginning of the modern era (1903 to now is how far back the outfield fences are. All other dimensions are the same now as they were then and I believe that in his prime, Cobb would still be hitting .370 against todays pitchers.

no, just for the simple fact the balls were different, bats, distance to the pitching mound, the fields, even you can say the shoes, there are so many factors that determine how good a player plays besides just to player, and it was way to different back then to even try to compare.Who is the best outfielder in the mlb?

He was known to hone his spikes to a sharp edge for the purposes of intimidating the fielders. This was, and still is, against the rules. Another hall of famer known to cheat was Gaylord Perry. Statistically, Ty Cobb is better no question. I just checked his stats. His walk to strikeout ratio? 1,249/357. That is just incredible. Besides home runs, Cobb beats Bonds in every category.
