Oh my god! Joe Buck talking about Baseball instead of what celeb is at the game or what movie he saw?
Question:Yeah i know the game is early so i will probably be dissapointed eventually when he goes back to his pathetic announcing which is mostly based on what Hollywood celebrity is at the game or what movie & tv show he saw.. He makes me mute the tv almost everytime he announces.
Answers:
Any chance of Jose Reyes ending up with 100 stolen bases this year?
I'd rather he just talk about the celebs. He knows more about them than he does baseball, about which he knows almost nothing. What's sad is there must be TV and movie-tie-ins with the national sports coverage. It may not be what the announcer wants to do, but it's cross-promoting events carried on cable/satellite or a movie the company is putting out.
Remember the Spiderman 2 bases that MLB nixed because of complaints by fans and the media?
And truth be told, a lot of those stars probably want to be somewhere else, but sports has become an advertising venue for other things because - I'm certain - fans are more likely to support sponsors than others, no matter who or what they are.
Please don't get me started on bad announcers I rather listen to Joe Buck then the horrible WGN guys on both sides the TBS ones as well as the Mariners announcers. Also if you want the worst announcer in all of sports that would go to Bill Walton.
In major league baseball if tthe player slides into firstbase he is out?
It's network TV.that means that Buck will have to ramble on about the shows on that same network and you know that the network will send the stars of those shows to those games for the exposure and advetising. It's called marketing.More Questions & Answers...
