Why does the media think Clemens is a model citizen but Bonds isnt?
Question:Roger is selfish, greedy, arrogant, and self-absorbed. We can see that in the way he handled retirement these past few years and throughou his career. He will sell his service to the highest bidder. He has no loyalty for his team. He has no loyalty for his fans. He will even play a little game with his suitors wait until they are desperate enough so he can squeeze the most out of them.
My question is. Why is Clemens loved by the media, while Barry Bonds, who has the utmost loyalty to his team the SFGiants and their fans, is being treated like a big jerk by the media?

Clemens is FAR from being a model citizen and a good role model for kids. The demands he makes on the team he plays for (No spring training, no traveling to away games with the team, playing after the season is well underway, choosing the team he plays for) all make him a self-serving, self-centered, selfish, non-team player. Certainly that is not good modeling for young people!!Chow!!
Is the Free Agent system in place today better for the baseball fan?
Barry Bonds cheatsWho is going to win the AL east and why?
Amen. ... the media is predominantly comprised of people that essentially rewrite or repeat what's convention or accepted to write (like a school of fish or sheep). Far be it, for someone to look at Roger's rookie card, analyze his mid-career body-breakdown (that certainly aligns with others that are suspect) now.. or begin to understand how pitchers have used, just like hitters. Roger give interviews.. and guys that are the 'problems' in MLB, all simply guys who recognized that writers are weasals, and have been unwilling to smile as they ask dopey questions/attack/fabricate stories etc. etc. Barry Bonds is bad, but Peter Rose is good. Steve Carlton is bad, but Roger Clemens is a god.Im someone had a 56 game hit streak and walked 4 times in the next game, would the streak end?
I think it's because Bonds treats the media more rudely than any other professional athlete. Some of the things he's said and done are unbelievable.Roger might not be the greatest guy, but at least he knows how to use the media. And as for selling his services to the highest bidder, more power to him. Baseball is a business, and Roger is a smart businessman. Who among us wouldn't want $20 million a year, and to dictate the terms of that employment?
Finally, it also has to do with the fact that Bonds is a steroid user, at least in the eyes of anyone who isn't blind and/or willfully ignorant. Or maybe his head and feet just naturally grew bigger as he approahced his 40th birthday.
I was going to answer this, but Craig S put it so well and so accurately that I don't need to now. Thanks, Craig S!
What pay roll stat is more shocking?
Bonds has made a career out of pissing the media off,.why would they like him now?Barry refuses to talk to the media and Clemons knows how to use them better. Clemons is still putting up the same numbers he always did while Barry put up numbers late in his career that he couldnt do when he was younger. His body has changed but not in the normal Im getting old and getting flabby way. Pretty obvious he is on something because he got stronger.
Is it ok to hit tennis balls with an exogrid baseball bat? Will it get damaged??
well there both assholesbonds and clemens is all for the money. you cannot say clemens is not loyalty because he takes larger paychecks. wouldnt u? and its all about championship.. clemens wants to win... bonds? all he cares about is his stats, his homerun record. and bonds is so tainted with steroid scandal. he is a liar. everybody knows he knowingly used steroid. probably best that anyone can buy. one day he will get convicted and there will be an asterick mark on his record with a fine letter. its not really fare for hank aaron. he put his *** up on the line just to be broken by a cheater.

Should there be a salary cap for baseball?
Clemens is loved by not only the media but most baseball fans. It is glaring double standard when it comes to Clemens who is by far the biggest sell out in baseball at the moment. While Bonds isnt exactly Mr. Role Model either, Clemens has been given for granted.I admire what Roger Clemens is doing on the baseball field. To be able to pitch like he does at this age is awesome. When it comes to baseball, we should not think about a person's character. Just focus on his skill as a player. Leave the rest to soaps or wrestling shows.
First school baseball game this week, any tips?
I do not believe that anyone would go as far as stating that Clemens is a "model citizen." He's just less of a jerk to the media, so they like him more. (And he gives them something to print when he speaks. For instance: Hall of Fame slugger Hank Aaron angered the hurler by saying that pitchers should not be eligible for the MVP. "I wish he were still playing," Clemens responded. "I'd probably crack his head open to show him how valuable I was.". Maybe he thought Mike Piazza (the one he DID crack in the skull) was the one who said it!?? Who knows... but that's not very model citizenesque). If you love the media, they'll love you back. And, Clemens is definitely more of a media hound than Bonds. (But definatly no more of a model citizen.)
What is a undrafted free agent in baseball?
This is because Bonds uses steroids. It is technically legal to be an *** holeWho was the Canadian who invented the baseball glove?
That's news to me.But Clemens generally has been accessible to the media throughout his career, and Bonds has been anything but. That makes a big difference. Just ask Jack Morris, who should already be in the HOF, but admits that his treatment of the press is probably why he still hasn't been elected.
And Bonds is loyal only to BALCO. If you don't believe that, or don't want to believe that, sign the visitors' log and ask Greg Anderson.
