How come the Yankees suck?
They lost 14-2 yesterday to the Texas Rangers. You never see Boston lose 14-2 to anybody.

What Yankee jersey number is retired twice?
Right now they suck because they have a very weak bullpen, their starters are also inconcsistent, everytime they get s good start it seems their bullpen blows the game for them, good, I hope they keep sucking.Who would you rather have on your team. Ichiro,Johnny Damon or Matsui?
cause there over payed @$$ holesWhy don't players steal home anymore like Jackie Robinson did so well?
100 years from now, they will still be the winningest team in sports history. They will play poorly once in a while however. What should be done about players like roger clemens?
Funny how fans of a team have such selective memories.Last season, the Red Sox twice lost 15-3 games - once to Cleveland, and once to the A's.
Besides, 2-0 or 14-2, it doesn't matter what the score is - wins and losses are all that count.
How come so many people supports the cheater Barry Bonds?
Their pitching is really bad, some of it because they have suffered so many injuries, and some of it because the pitchers are getting old and are over rated.Chow!!
The Yankees aren't a very good team right now in spite of a $200 million+ payroll for the following reasons:
1) Too many aging veterans on the team. Which leads to:
2) Injuries. Can't help the team win when you have too many people on the payroll.
3) The pitching is awful. The don't have any starters who can get to the 6th inning, which in turn leads to:
4) Bullpen getting used and abused.
It is a shame that a team has to rely on a 45 year old future hall of famer to help stop the bleeding and keep the team hanging around in the AL East race.
How come the Red Sox swallow?
Give Boston time. They will do their usual choke this year.
Do the San Francisco Giants have the best starting pitching staff in the NL West?
Because they don't plan for the future, they just buy what they need today. Now that is finally catching up with them, they have a roster full of old players that they can't trade because they make too much money and don't produce. Plus they are paying their revenue sharing to the small market teams, so those teams can now actually pay their players so they don't leave and join a team like the Yankees. So there are now less marquee players hitting the free agent market. If the Yankees don't get them, they have fill the hole with some scrub like Doug Mentkieadfgswezz at 1B. Since they don't have depth in the minors, they can't bring up a young guy to take over and play. That is how they became dominant again in the 90's. They brought up guys like Jeter, Posada, Rivera, Bernie, Pettitte, and built a team. They went away from that, and now they are paying the price. Its the Yankees!! Need I say more
The same problem every year since 2000. They never get pitching in the offseason.
