Yanks vs Red sox?

I've been spoiled in my life, having grown up in LA and the DC area, so I got to hear Vin Scully call the Dodger games and John Miller call the Orioles games. They are definitely my top two, but I always felt Miller had an insight, passion and sense of humor that was unique among broadcasters.

In baseball there is an extray chalk line outside the 1st base line about 1/2 way down...why?

Charley Steiner..!!

For your rotation...?

Vin Scully by far. Theres no one that even compares to him. When he calls a game he doesnt favor one team, hell point out good and bad aspects of each team and its sometimes hard to tell which teams hes calling for. Its also nice to hear his stories and past experiences from the past, they never get old!

Jon Miller. He was with the Orioles for many years and now with ESPN. He makes the game so much fun. Watch a game that he broadcasts and I sure that you will agree. Jon Miller, Hall of Fame Broadcaster.

Retired- Ernie Harwell
Active-Mike Shannon (St. Louis) I love listening to their home games on XM. His home run call is the best "Get up baby..get up..get up!"

Your best BULLPEN in baseball?

Either Harry Caray or Jack Buck.
Here's my reasoning: Unlike Scully, they didn't try to act impartial. Radio broadcasts are done by every team, so if they were broadcasting for the Cubs or Cardinals, they acted like Cubs or Cardinal fans. Who better to tell you how your team is playing? Also, they were both very descriptive which is important for radio broadcasts. They didn't a lot of words, but were very concise in telling you what happened so it was exciting but still very vivid. When they were paired together for the Cardinals in the 60's, they were easily the best broadcast pair in the history of baseball.

Underhand pitching help?

I don't know thier names but the radio broadcasters for the Giants are entertaining. Milwaukee's Bob Uecker also can have some good stories. You can get a taste of different broadcasters via http://www.freebaseballradio.com/...
