Answers:
Yes, unfortunately, they are already in it (with the most HRs, averages, etc.).
PAPELBON more effective than a kick in the nuts?
no they don't deserve to get in they should get the pete rose treatment and get ban for life.Bonds and McGwire will make the HOF, but Canseco and Palmiero wont make the Hall due to stats, not roids.
no way. Why should anyone who uses drugs be in the HOF there cheaters!!!!
Who is closing for the marlins this year?
Bonds will for sure!!!What's the chances the Mets win the World Series this year?
If Pete Rose is no allowed in then they shouldn't be let in! MLB has opened up a Pandora's box by doing nothing about the steroid issue! Are there any SABRmaticians members out there?
Bonds is the only one who is a maybe on that list, and a big maybe. I think right now there are enough writers looking to get him on the steroids thing where he could not crack the 75% mark right now. That might change in five to ten years when some of the older voters retire or die, but he'd have a hard time today getting 75%.Palmeiro is a never. The fact he was caught after his congressional testimony has scared him for life.
Canseco frankly doesn't have the numbers. He is short of 500 and a few guys who don't quite make that aren't getting in in this era.
McGwire I think spoiled himself with the current writers by not coming clean about the steroids. Maybe is he wrote a tell all book, or subjected himself to criminal penalty for what happened in the late 1990's, they'll forgive him. The veterans might let him in as well.
Bonds - I would say has about a 75% chance of getting in. It all depends on how deep the steroids investigation goes, not only on him, but in baseball in general. If it turns out that steroids are far more widespread than initially thought, that actually could help him.
Canseco - I'd say his chances top out at around 0%.
McGwire - probably a small (better than slim) chance to get in, only if he can come clean about his use (or lack of), and it seems credible. I would give Sosa a much better chance of making the HOF, given that he is giving himself a chance now to put up good numbers with the testing program in place.
Palmeiro - His chances aren't any better than Canseco's. His account of why it could have gotten into his system really diminished his credibility. A B12 shot given to him from Tejada? Come on.
Who hit the most home runs in the major leagues?
Barry Bonds was already in before this steroid scandal broke out so he'll be there. Canseco nope, McGwire will, Palmeiro possibly.More Questions & Answers...
