Is Cy Young the best pitcher of all time?
More tha likely it was either his agent or the MLB Players union.which Barry is not a part of.Basically, I believe that what Schilling said was absolutely correct and that he shouldn't of backed down. I think if more players spoke out, maybe MLB would be taking this whole steroid thing more seriously

cuz hes fatHe went way over the line, bringing in Bonds' wife and kids. Not cool. His apology was firm and unequivocal, not weasly like most famous people who apologize. He done good.
This is not a defense of Bonds.
Schilling is a loud mouth, sell-out, and an annoyance. When does his contract expire? And is he retiring at that point? Sincerely, his painted sock.

he has free speech but he still has to be honest...when he said that bonds admitted cheating on his wife and his taxes that was incorrect..i hate bonds but ya can't go around lyingDoes Kansas city need to sell the royals and save the fans the embarrassment?
He didn't apologize because he wanted to, he apologized because the media killed him the next day and made Schilling out to be the buffoon he is. Sure, everyone is entitled to state their opinion, but Schilling made factually incorrect statements. Bonds did not admit to anything Schilling said he did. I do not like Bonds, but I would not say anything about him, nor anyone else, unless I actually knew what I was talking about. There have been a few players who have made comments about Bonds, but it seems like they always backtrack the next day. However, none of them have presented erroneous statements as fact, unlike Schilling. How can we stop Barry Bonds from breaking the All time Home Run record?
because he realized that he is just as big a hypocrite as Bonds. If any of you remember he did some lying at the Grand Jury trail, he is a liar, and a punk. What are the top ten things baseball scout look for in a High school Baseball player?
When someone takes cheap shots with false information like that, they need to apologize because they look bad. A few weeks back when the "bloody sock" incident was in the news, Schilling bashed the media for not reporting the facts. Now he turns around and does the same exact thing about someone else. That makes him look ridiculous. He didn't say it as an opinion, he said it like it was 100% fact. That's where he went wrong. Had he added "These are my opinions," it wouldn't be so bad.Making false accusations like he did, can be considered slander. We all have the right to not have our reputations ruined by those who decide to make such false accusations in the media. Schilling didn't want to get sued for his ignorant statements. Even as an opinion, the things he said would have been very questionable. He may still have been advised to apologize.
Can you explain the different baseball pitching styles to me?
Regardless of what Schilling thinks of Bonds, its not his place to comment on it publicly, he has no standing on the issue, and its wrong. It hurts everyone involved, Bonds, his family, Schilling, Schilling's family, but more importantly, the Red Sox.
Francona got dragged into this issue and was not happy about it.
Most guys in Baseball don't want anything to do with Bonds, positively or negatively, because its a no-win issue.
The Sox as a team have had nothing to do with it, and were happy about that, until Schilling opened his big mouth and made it a story, Papi did too, and I am sure that got mentioned to, but Schillings were negative comments, which is a media frenzy.

One word. SeligBud Selig
Cause he was wrong for accusing Bonds who never openly addmitted to all those allegations. Think what u want about Bonds i would probley agree with a lot of your points but he does put butts in the seats and still has exceptional hand eye cordination. Schilling is a pretty vocal dude but a lawsuit could have came from the things he said.
Who are the world series champs?
Because he is a "girly man" that states something and the first sign of heat...he gets out of the kitchen..he talked such a "good game" about the honor of the game and the players that were cheating prior to his appearance in front of Congress.tell me one thing that meant anything when he spoke.he made not one point in effect while there..all the talk was just hype..if he has something to say...say it..he is just a "little girl"...truly believe that if he read this and I came to bat.he would hit me or brush me back.but let me come out after him he would get behind Manny or "Papi"....still, probably one of the best...hard working pitchers out there.wish the Yankees had him..but he is a "girly man" ..that is why he took it all back!Who's the player with the most hits who is not in the hall of fame?
I agree with you totally. There was no need for an apology. It is about time some of the players express their opinions and outrage at what Barry Bonds has done under the influence of steroids. Shilling had the guts and now disappoints as he apologizes.Chow!!

He was dead wrong in what he had said.Once Clemens joins NYY, who will have a better rotation -- Sox or Yanks?
Because the Red Sox management called him on the carpet for it. He is a reflection of the franchise and Boston got pretty upset about it. I don't blame them.Schilling is just a loud mouth who likes to see his name in the paper. He just got caught up in the moment and made a jackass of himself.
