How Can I Swing Hard?
Question:In the practices i swing hard and i hit hard shots down the middle and third base. In the games (i'm not nervous) but i don't hit anything, my father and mother say i'm not swinging hard like i do in the practices and that i have a slow bat. In the games what i basically hit are little dribblers to 2nd and pop flys to second. How can i correct my problem?

Need to find homerun stats of shortstops in MLB all-time?
It sounds like you are a bit behind the ball as you are hitting it to second. I would consistantly hit the ball to the right side until I opened up my stance a hair, and worked on hitting the ball ahead of me, rather than nearly hitting it out of the catchers glove. I would try opening up a little, getting out ahead of the ball, and keeping your head down. Try that and see if it helps.Who was a better 2nd baseman, roberto alomar or ryan sandberg?
It sounds like your problem is more mental than physical. Just remember the mechanics of your swing and keep honing your skills during practice! Treat your games as they were practice and don't try to do more than you're capable of... hope that helps! You are trying to hit too hard and taking your eye off the ball.
Is there any other closer now in the majors that is better than Jonathan Papelbon?
psssssstt try using steroidsI think that you should take swings on the field from a live pitcher. That way when you get on the field it is the same environment. I also think that it is mental. I just had a similar problem while I was in a slump. You are probally overanalyizing everything. You have to relax and just trust your swing. You will be hitting the ball hard again in no time.
I NEED help and have a BIG DECISISION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
u have a mental problem and its not all about how hard also were u hit it. u also need to aim and imagine the pitcher in his underwear thats how i hit homersWho thinks the oakland atheletics have the best colors in the mlb!?
when you swing, don't turn your head away.keep your eyes on the ball and if you want it to go far, hit it with the fat of the bat. That part is the sweet spot and it is how u hit homers
You don't necassarily have to "swing hard". You need a quick swing, not a hard one. To get around on the ball a little quicker try choking up a little bit, this shortens the length of the bat that you need to get over the plate.( bring your hands about an inch towards the barrel). If you're hitting dribblers and pops then you need to level your swing out. You could be dipping your shoulder, which makes you pop it up or you could be chopping at it. Remember, you get three strikes and the first one isn't always the best. It only takes one pitch, so get your pitch. Good luck!
