Are the yankees worth more than an nfl team?
Question:forbes has said the yankees are worth 1.2 billion dollars. if the nfl is more popular, has more money, and the perfect pariody system. why is baseball having more success the baseball channel when it comes out will be more successful than the nfl network, record tv contracts are being handed out to all teams and mlb itself, teams even own their own network, and they don't count if they did they could double the worth of nfl teams.

First guy is right, baseball owners get 81 opportunities to sell tickets, merchandise and concessions. With football they get one tenth the home games. With higher ticket prices, salary caps and no guaranteed salaries, the NFL may present the best bang for the buck though.profit and worth are two completely different things. Football owners may reap good profits (especially now), but they don't come close to the Yankees in total worth, no team in any sport does.
