Should the Mets trade Carlos Delgado?

He's hitting .214 this year and wasn't very good last year either. I don't think this is what they had in mind when they signed him to that big deal.

Who is the ugliest player in MLB?

Yes, they should but I don't think that anybody would be stupid enough to take him.

Alex Gordon question?

What is the best infield/pitcher "rawlings gold glove" glove for under 150 dollars?

No, his hitting will come around and he is a leader in the clubhouse. The young players will need his experience as they push for a title this year. Last year he hit .265 with 38 homeruns and 114 RBI, what's wrong with that?

Does anyone other than Jackie Robinson deserve a day of respect by the baseball community?

Everyone goes through a slump but he's a veteran. He keeps hitting into double plays and striking out. The lowering in the batting lineup is a start. I think if he continues like he is now for the rest of the year they should trade him.

Best ballplayers of the modern era? (1960-present)?

Before i give you my answer i have this question for you? Who will you be getting back and if he is not a first basemen then who plays first? Julio Franco? I think that what Delgado has to start doing and did in the atlanta series that was just completed is to close his stance and hit the ball to left field. Everyone and their mother is doing the right sidde shift on him and that leaves the left side of the field wide open for him to either hit singles and doubles or just but the ball down the line to get his average up. By hitting the ball to left field for a long time this makes you wait longer for pitches and gives you the opportunity to really explode on pitches that are on the inside part of the plate. Plus one they see he is going to right field then the shift will be taken off and he can do anything he wants. I would serious start thinking about trading him at or after the all star game to see if anything has changed. I would be looking for another relief pitcher, and another first baseman. You also want Delgado's value to go up so you can really get what you need and not just doing it because he is performing poorly. I would also be looking to the american league so you dont trade to one of your competitors.

Is ticko.com a legit ticket buying site?

Delgado has a No-Trade Clause in his contract and in the past he's proven to be difficult to trade.just ask Toronto.

Besides, if you trade Delgado...what are you going to do about 1st? Who would you want to see the Mets move in there? Shawn Green maybe?

Anyone interested in a Live draft tonight at 8:30 pm EST?

No, this past series against the Braves he was hitting the ball hard every time. He just can't find spots. He's is one of the best hitters in baseball, he just needs to find his rythym. Who else is going to play first?

Why doesn't the scoreboard show a team I selected?

Delgado has a no trade clause in his contract. The Mets are pretty much stuck with him.

Can the Minnesota Twins survive without Joe Mauer?

No. He's a good contributer over all. .214 is still above the Mendoza line. and this Mets team is fine as it is. Delgado did all right last year; they should NOT trade him.
