I think the Giants have one of the best rotations in the league right now. Lincecum beat Roy Oswalt TWICE and everybody else is pitching well right now.
To that guy that said Lincecum is nobody: he was a nobody during his MLB debut, but he is somebody right now and i guarantee you.all the teams are taking notice.

Yeah, there are a few teams who are better. The Giants big problem is that they lack a true ace, since Zito obviously isn't up to the task. I don't think they even have the best staff in the NL West let alone all of baseball. My pick would be San Diego. They have a true ace in Peavy and the rotation can go 6 deep when everyone is healthy. Add to that the dynamite pen anchored by the all-time saves leader and you have the makings of a great staff. I would take Boston and Oakland (when they are all healthy) over the Giants too. I'd put SF in the top 5, but they just don't have the bullpen or depth of startes that those three teams have.Well ill give it to the redsox at this point, but when schilling and beckett get injured (around July) then yea fo sho the giants are the best. They have two bonafide power hurlers in cain and lincecum. The richest pitcher ever (who is a great number 3), A very nice change up/change of pace pitcher like Lowry, and Matt Morris as a number 5, he has the most wins on the team!

Um the Red Sox,. Besides the Fact of Julian Tavarez, they have one of the best pitching leagues. Schilling, Matsazuka, Beckett, Wakefield, and Tarvarez, They are 9 and a half games up because of their pitching. Their batting and fielding are helping the pitchers but if they didn't have Schilling, they probably wouldn't have won the World Series in 2004 so there's your answer!Why do some mlb teams have last names on jerseys and some don't?

If the Giants had the best pitching staff, the Giants would have the best record in the NL right now. But they dont and that's why they arent even in first in the NL West. The best pitching staff in the majors right now is the Padres. Yanks, Ded Sox, Tigers, Angels, ...Its a great rotation and Im still mad the Yankees didnt shell out for Zito, but Morris is overrated. He will collapse after the all star break like he always does, and Lincecum doesnt have enough experience yet.

Sox...RED of course. Schilling, Beckett, Dice, Wakefield, Tavarez. I hate Tavarez, but dude has been killing everyone lately. The best way to see that the Sox are the best is that they have the best record, and the fewest innings pitched by the bullpen in MLB. Beckett is about to get healthy, and they have Lester making another start in AAA to complete his cancer recovery, then they will be loaded. And as for the Yanks, Clemens got shelled in AA, and stumbled thru his A ball start. Pettite is old, Mussina is older, and only Wang has done anything for them in the last year or so. These guys are all gonna get old at the same time, and all the run support in the world (which they will get) won't be any help to them. I do like the Lincecum kid, but I don't think that Morris and Lowry are all that.More Questions & Answers...
