Can the Detroit Tigers make it all the way this year?

Question:Their roster has not changed alot. No losses at all, but some good adds. Logically, they should be able to win the World Series this year right.

Answers:

If a ML baseball player gets injured for the season, does he still get to collect his whole salary?

Nope. They were over-achievers last year. It caught up to them in the world series. I don't see them even making the playoffs this year.

Will my beloved Phillies beat the Mutts AGAIN today?

there is no LOGIC IN BASEBALL, MISTER SPOCK!! and the tigers are in baseball's toughest division! trhey will be close, but will misss!! the playofffs! eiother the twins or white sox will knock them off! your sissy tigggers will finish third, and suffer major injuries this season! go back to detroit, where the violence in that crap city is worst in america!

Dont you think espn should show more college baseball?

tigers all the way. btw atlanta has the worst crime and violence in america.

Who do you think will win NL MVP for this year?

It is definitely possible. They have a great young pitching staff and have added some talent at the plate. Figuring that the Tigers are not playing well right now, once Sheffield, Mags, Inge, and Monroe start hitting; the Tigers should win a lot of games. They will likely need to win the Central because there will be stiff competition for the wild card.

Who do you think will have a better record this season the Cubs or the Cardinals?

Good chance. I'll be rooting for them.

Who hit a grand slam in consectutive at bats from each side of the plate?

No not at all

-Gary Sheffield is horrible

What is meant by a "walk -off" home run versus a regular home run?

first of all, to say there were no losses is incorrect. A much overlooked player but extremely important pitcher is now making the bullpen run in Baltimore that is Jamie Walker. His consistency is an obvious area where this years version of the tigers are lacking. that said, if tyhe tigers can find someone to fill in for K-rogers for 3-4 months. and can find an emerging arm to give consistent innings from the bullpen. sure. theres no reason why the tigers can't take it.

Where can I see the full video of the infamous Steve Bartman? from the moment he catches the ball & afterwards

Tigers have too much pitching.who can top Bonderman,Verlander,Robertson and when he comes back Rogers..plus Zumaya and his 103mph fastball. Rodney and Rollercoaster Jones in the bullpen. Then add a Gary Sheffield into a line-up where the number 9 hitter had 27 hr's.Wow..I'd say the Tigers are going to be hard to beat.

Bernie Williams hall of fame?

Very good possibility (of course, I'm a die-hard Tigers fan)If their pitching can perform the same as last year and Sheff makes the lineup very potent.

I don't want to be a spammer, but did you know MLB extra innings is free this week?

No. Either this year or next year they will be back among the laughing stocks of MLB, right along side the Royals

#1 vs #2 FSU vs UNC who u got to win the series?

Although I think they are currently the most over-hyped team in baseball, they are a damn good team. The White Sox fell off and won't give them a run for their money, but the Twins can definitely take the division. So, can they make it all the way? Yes. Will they? In my opinion, no. They will fall just short.

Who is better THIS year? Red Sox or Yankees?

Of course they can. My favorite team is even in the samedivision so obviously they can if I say so. I'm rooting for the twins

Who thinks the Cubs will og all the way?

they certainly will make the playoffs.
after that anything is possible, especially in a 5 game series.
just ask the yankees.

i hope they do. i like them.

Joe Torre Yankees?

yes

National League vs. American League? Which league is the best?

They can, but I don't think they will. I see some injury problems in the starting rotation due to the young guys pitching so many extra innings through the playoffs last year. WIth the addition of Sheffield and a full year of Sean Casey the lineup should be solid, but it'll come down to health like it always does. They already lost Rogers for most of the year and he might not be the only one to go down. In that division they will need all the pitching they can get to compete with the Sox, Twins and Indians. Making the playoffs let alone winning the whole thing will be pretty tough.
