They will make the playoffs, but not the WS, Clemens doesnt look like he will be much help eitherWho got the first hit in yankee stadium in 1923?
I agree with John Kruk. The rest of the AL is doing too well. I don't see it happening. If the NL and AL merge what would the MLB divisions look like?
who know first we have to wait and see but i think they will make the playoffs why not if the pitching is pitching better kind of the way there pitching now and great offense the yankes yes they willCan anyone tell me what position Babe Ruth played on the Yankee's ?
i think they would have made it without clemens they know its 162 games so theyre just pacing themselvesWould Ken Griffey Jr. in his prime be considered one of the top 10 players of all time?
yesWhat is the next city to get an MLB team?
no, they have more needs then one pitcher. Right now they arent hitting well and there pitching is average at best and they have one of the worst bullpens in the majors.Who was the first Canadian ever to play major-league baseball?
They have no chance. The Red Sox are red hot this year. The wild card team will come from the AL Central. This is good as everyone outside of NYC HATES the Yankees, they are the devil.Has a major league pitcher ever struck out four batters in an inning?
yesi hope not
they are bad for baseball with their high payrolls
i cant stand them!!
The Cincinnati reds portrait pack /10 all time reds stars?
not unless clemens can pitche every other day and come out the bullpen when not starting. The rest of the AL is just too strong. Only way they will make the playoffs is by winning the division cuz the wild card will be tough to takeHi! i need a little help with a baseball card! plz?
playoffs, no wsWell, I dont think so. Roger can only give them about 6 innings every 5 days. Boston has a big lead already and they look too good to blow it. As much talent as the yankees have and as great of a manager as torre is, I think that they are in just too deep of a hole.
Is dice-k really all that good??
No way. Clemens will take a toll on their bull pen with his 5 inning outings, and I predict the Yankees will finish anywhere from 5-15 games out of first place. Hughes just isn't seasoned for the big leagues, Mussina has steeply declined, and Pettitte is overachieving right now.The Sox have more severe slumps than the Yanks, and when Lugo, Drew, Ramirez all come out of their slumps the Yanks won't know what hit them.
Which team/city has the best opening day experience in baseball?
clemens is washed up. he can only hurt the yankees chancesTHE STANKEES WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THEY ARE OLD AND HAVE DEFENSE OR PITCHING. CLEMENS WILL HAVE NO IMPACT. LETS SAY HE IS PITCHING A GREAT GAME GET TIRED AND HAND THE BALL OFF TO THAT HORRID BULLPIN HE LOSES. STANKEES LOSE WE ARE ALL HAPPY!!!!
What is going on with the Yankees?
Yes , no doubt...Who is the best player in Seattle Mariner history?
How many ways can you say no? He would only pitch in probably 15 - 17 games. Not a great chance he would win all of them. So lets say he wins 75%. That is 11 wins. But after watching him last year, and with his minor league start, he will more likely win 55%. So that is 8 wins. Saying that whoever he replaces would have won 6 of those 15-17 games, that is only a 2 game improvement.Money poorly spent for a team that will not make the playoffs.
One player is not going to be enough to pull the yanks out of this hole.
How do you make a DIV III team? Specifically Baseball.?
I'm a die hard Yankee fan, but unfortunately, they've dug themselves too big a hole to dig out of. Roger Clemens will only get them another 7 to 11 wins. And with the starting rotation just starting to get into form and the bats starting to hit, it may be too little too late.Ha! First of all, Clemens is not back yet. One start at Tampa where he gave up a homer to an A ball player, another rough start in AA Trenton, and he hasn't even faced AAA at Columbus yet. He is 44, and I'm not talking about jacket size! He is in great shape, but not baseball shape. His bullpen will be no help to him. He should have stayed in the NL where he could still dominate. I hope he chokes on all that scratch he strong-armed the Boss for.
