Do you think The San Diego Padres will win the division ?

Question:

Answers:

Would the Indians lineup of the late 90's still be formidable today?

NO, the Dodgers have a Stronger Pitching, Hitting and Lineup so they would beat the Padres on all Levels of Baseball.

Has anyone met John Lackey?

They'll win the Penant and hopefully the World Series.

What do you bring along to a day professional baseball game?

Yeah, I think they will actually.

They might even have a chance to take the NL, with there being no run away team.

Do you honestly think the yankees or red sox will win tonite?

Tight race between the dodgers and the padres you never know it is still to early in the season and anything can happen.

When Barry Bonds breaks the home run record, should the Giants replace him with Todd Linden?

My preseason prediction was the Padres outlasting the Dodgers to win the NL West and the Dodgers then taking the Wild Card. Arizona has some good young talent too, so I won't write them off, but I feel they are a notch below SD & LA.

The Padres pitching is probably the best in the NL
Peavy was my preseason pick for the Cy Young. Then with Young, Maddux, Wells, and Hensley, it is tough to find a rotation that strong 1-5. The pen is still tough too, with the future HOF Trevor Hoffman closing the door.

I'm not sure their offense is going to get them through the playoffs, but once October comes around anything can happen.

Do the Red Sox have the pitching to go all the way?

no the dodgers are the team to beat they are better than the padres in every way.

What is the shortest baseball game?

More than likely it will be the Dodgers.

What is wrong with the Blue Jays?

Only if The Dodgers close down.

Stl cardinals?

Dodgers will win the division.

Dodgers have a better pitching staff and better offense. You can't beat the mix of reliable veterans of talented newcomers.

All the Padres have is trimmed goatee's and a stadium name after a pet store.

Re-post: who wins?? new york or boston??

Arizona has too many young players, who will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming seasons, but they will most likely only contend for the wild card. San Francisco has two players, and they are both named Barry. Colorado will never win playing half their games at Coors Field. I love how every year the "experts" pick the Dodgers to win the division after they spend loads of money on stud ballplayers that can't ever put it all together like the Mets have done. With the talent that LA has, they should be the second only to the Mets but most likely their pitching will fall flat on its face and their lineup will not produce.

The Dodgers struggle just as much to score runs and their pitching staff is NOT better than the Padres. The Padres' bullpen is the best in the majors and their rotation is just as filthy. Write them off as a team with aging stars in Maddux and Wells but watch them pitch, they still got it.

With the unbalanced schedule in the MLB, winning in the division is huge and you will see the Padres beating the Dodgers many times this year.

Any person that likes venezuelan baseball?

Yes. They have the best bullpen in baseball, and a pretty good starting five. They upgraded at second base, and the Cruz / Sledge experiment seems to be working in LF. The only trouble spot seems to be 3B, but that'll come around.
